Volunteers

“A superb event which was brilliantly organised. Much credit due to the volunteer marshals who were everywhere ensuring runners were well supported."

Would you like to be part of the excitement of the day but don't want to run? Why not volunteer to help make the event a success? It takes hundreds of people to ensure the event runs smoothly, so becoming a Jersey Marathon volunteer means you play an active role in the overall success of the event, whilst also allowing you to support your friends, family and charity teams.

Positions that need filling on the day are:

  • Course marshal - making sure the runners stay safely on the course
  • Water station team - supplying much needed water for the thirsty
  • Clean-up team - keeping the Island beautiful after the event
  • Start/finish team - counting them out and counting them back in
  • Massage/physio support team - tending the needy at the end of the race
  • Relay changeover team - helping the changeovers go smoothly
  • Race Day set up team - putting out signage marking the route
  • Race Day registration team - registering all participants and handing out the goody bags

You don't need any experience to take part in the Jersey Marathon as a volunteer. You just need between 4-7 hours free on Race Day and be willing to join in the fun. We will provide full training and you will receive a marathon t-shirt and a volunteer goody bag.

Volunteers should be over the age of 18 on the day of the race or should be part of a recognised group under the supervision of a leader over the age of 18.

If you want to become a volunteer please email your details to contact@jersey-marathon.com.
