Jersey Development Company (JDC) is delighted to sponsor the Jersey Marathon Marathon Mile, promoting islanders to ‘move more’ and live a healthy and active lifestyle. The Marathon Mile will start at 10:00am from the Weighbridge, St Helier.

About Jersey Development Company
Our role as the Government of Jersey’s property development arm is to complete the development of the St Helier Waterfront and regenerate government-owned property that is no longer required for the delivery of public services.
We are also responsible for the delivery and maintenance of the Waterfront Estate, creating high quality open spaces to bring the community together. The quality and extent of these public open spaces provides an excellent arena for various events. These areas include: Les Jardins de la Mer, Marina Gardens, Weighbridge Square, Trenton Square and the promenades.
JDC actively encourages and offers support for the Waterfront Estate to be used for a variety of community and charity events. The public spaces we have created around the Waterfront, help to build a stronger and more vibrant St. Helier and also promotes an outdoor active lifestyle.
The Marathon Mile sponsored by Jersey Development Company starts at 10:00hrs in St Helier. A special one lap course around the streets of St Helier is designed just for the Marathon Mile and the race is both a great competition and a fun way to take part in the day.
The change of classification now offers the benefit to welcome younger children from aged 6+. We also look forward to welcoming short distance athletes, charity runners, school runners, fundraisers and many more to take on the NEW Marathon Mile!
We are also offering a new prize for the FASTEST time. Can you get close to Roger Bannisters four minute-mile barrier? Or perhaps you might take on the challenge to beat the Men’s world record of 3:43:13 or the Woman’s world record of 4:12:33.
